E-commerce Trendyol joins forces with the International Olympic Committee for 2024 Paris Games

Trendyol will also design, produce, and sell the Olympic apparel collection

Trendyol, a world-class e-commerce platform based in Türkiye, has joined forces with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as an official “E-Commerce Services Partner” for Türkiye and EEA countries.

This partnership is part of Alibaba Group’s Worldwide Olympic Partnership, which gives Trendyol access to Olympic marks and imagery for branding purposes.

Trendyol has also obtained a license from the IOC to create, produce, and sell a special line of Olympic-themed products, such as clothing, hats, towels, and bags, with the Olympic Symbol and distinctive artworks and colors.

The products will be made by Trendyol in Türkiye and sold internationally through its platforms in Türkiye, Azerbaijan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.

Çağlayan Çetin, the President of Trendyol Group, expressed his pride in being the first Turkish company to partner with the IOC. He said that this deal would enable them to display the products of Turkish designers and producers to the world, as well as to support various sports events and teams.

The IOC’s Managing Director of Television & Marketing Services, Anne-Sophie Voumard, welcomed Trendyol’s contribution to the Olympic Apparel Collection with their design and production expertise in Türkiye.

She also said that this partnership was aligned with the Alibaba sponsorship, which encouraged cooperation among the IOC’s key sponsors for mutual benefit.

Trendyol has been a strong supporter of sports and athletes in Türkiye and internationally for a long time. Its partnership with the IOC is a significant achievement in this regard.

Trendyol sponsored the Turkish National Olympic Committee since 2021 and backed many Turkish competitors in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Trendyol also sponsors the Turkish National Teams for Volleyball and Football and is the title sponsor of the Turkish Süper Lig and 1. Lig for the 2023-24 season.
