TikTok’s New Photo-Sharing App: Introducing TikTok Notes

TikTok, the popular social media platform, is gearing up to launch a photo-sharing app called TikTok Notes. Screenshots shared by users reveal that the company is actively developing this new feature.

Over the past few days, TikTok users have received pop-up notifications about the upcoming TikTok Notes app. According to the notification, this app will serve as a dedicated space for photo posts. Users’ existing photo content will automatically be shared on TikTok Notes, although they can opt out.

A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that the app is in the works, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing the TikTok experience. The goal is to empower the community to express their creativity through both photos and text within this specialized platform.

Interestingly, a TikTok-owned URL—photo.tiktok.com—currently displays a teaser image with the text “Opening in TikTok Notes.”

While the app was initially rumored to be called TikTok Photos, recent pop-ups hint that the company might explore alternative names.

In the competitive landscape of social media, both TikTok and Meta (formerly Facebook) are vying for dominance. While TikTok focuses on photo-sharing, Meta recently introduced a vertical-first video player for Facebook.

TikTok continues experimenting with various formats, including 30-minute videos and text-based posts. Stay tuned for updates on the official launch of TikTok Notes!
