As a way of showing gratitude to its delivery drivers, Amazon has launched its $5 “thank you” tip program again, giving its customers two options to send them.
The company announced on Tuesday that this is the second time it has offered this gesture to its U.S. delivery drivers during the festive season. It said that for the first 2 million times that customers express their appreciation to the drivers starting from Tuesday, it will give them $5 along with the thank-you notes, totaling $10 million.
Online shoppers who want to thank their delivery driver can use their Alexa-enabled device or the Alexa app and say “Alexa, thank my driver.” Alternatively, they can type “thank my driver” in the search bar on the Amazon website or app.
The driver who delivered the most recent order to the customer who uses this feature will receive the “thank you”.
