The couple is used to seeing all the wild birds that inhabit their area, but on this particular day it was another animal who caught their attention.
Rebecca looked outside toward the lake and noticed a dark mass swimming aimlessly in the middle of the lake.
Rebecca grabbed her binoculars to get a better look at the creature in the water — and realized it was a dog.
They quickly realized the dog was most likely abandoned in the lake, left to fend for himself.
Being the good people they are, Rebecca and Quenton quickly hopped into their boat and made their way toward the helpless canine, who was exhausted and shivering.
