Western Australia records seven new COVID cases

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan says the state has recorded seven new cases.

Mr McGowan said three of the seven cases were known contacts of other positives and may have been in the community when infectious.

He said 96.4 per cent of those over 12 had received their first dose, 89 per cent were fully vaccinated, and 27.2 per cent of people over 16 had received their booster.

There are 82 active cases and no hospitalisations in Western Australia.
