This clip, which was originally shared by a shrimp farmworker in Bac Lieu, Vietnam, is strangely mesmerizing.
It’s a bird’s eye view of lots and lots of baby shrimp (which look more like tiny brown sticks) moving in a strange circular motion inside a bowl of water.
According to the farmer, baby shrimp move around in groups like this, forming a “storm-like vortex” as a method of protection against predators.
We’ve never seen anything like it before … and who knew baby shrimp could look like this?
